  • The Clean 15

    While fruits and vegetables are important in a healthy, balanced diet, the ways in which we mass produce these foods leads to high levels of contaminants and pesticides. Each year the Environmental Working Group (EWG) compiles two produce lists for consumers: The Clean 15 & The Dirty Dozen. Click below to find the 2024 Clean 15 list featuring the EWG’s top fifteen fruits and vegetables with the lowest levels of pesticides. When thinking about what to include in your diet, consider these first.

  • The Dirty Dozen

    With the desire to efficiently grow produce comes the overuse of pesticides. Annually, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) compiles a list of the top twelve fruits and vegetables with the highest levels of pesticide residue. When it comes to these foods, moderation is key. Additionally, if it’s within your budget, buying these produce items with organic labels or through local farmers markets could be beneficial. However, if those options are not monetarily sensible, there are plenty of other safer choices (check out the The Clean 15 List).
